The Leisure and Cultural Services Department is inviting sponsorship from all organisations for the Hong Kong Flower Show 2018. The horticultural spectacular is one of the city’s favourite events and has seen over 200 organisations from Hong Kong, the Mainland and overseas participating in each recent instalment. For the first time in the history of the event, the 2017 Show saw floral displays and landscaped gardens enhanced with a subtle play of light and shadow, drawing a record-breaking 670 000 visitors. The Show next year will be staged from 16 to 25 March 2018 at Victoria Park. With Dahlia as the theme flower and “Joy in Bloom” as the theme, the Show promises to be a remarkable experience for flower lovers.
In the showground, visitors will be greeted by enchanting blossoms and potted plants, as well as artistic floral displays and exquisite landscaped gardens. There will also be a rich selection of fringe activities that are both fun and educational, including floral art demonstrations, greening activities workshops, green promotional stall games, cooking demonstrations, music and cultural performances, student drawing competition, photo competition, guided visits, recreation programmes and fun games. The Show and the activities aim to promote public understanding and interest in horticulture, raise awareness in environmental protection and greening, and engage the community in greening activities. Please go to www.hkflowershow.hk to revisit the delightful moments of recent Shows.
Preparations are now underway for the Show next year. Sponsorship in any form is welcome from organisations of all sectors. Interested parties may contact Ms Joe WONG of the Sponsorship Sub-committee of the Show by phone on 2212 9796 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. The Sub-committee will be happy to provide more details and work out a sponsorship plan with you.
